Making More Space in your Kids Bedroom

A common dilemma in many homes is that their kids bedroom just doesn't seem to have enough space. Of course in many instances the bedroom is decent sized, it is just that with all of the different toys and gadgets that many children have, the room to store it all becomes limited. Instead of getting rid of those toys and games that you paid your hard earned money for though you can work hard to help make more space in your kids room.

There are various types of kids bedroom furniture that allow for extra storage space. Many beds feature drawers underneath the bed where your child can store clothing or other items. This type of arrangement saves plenty of room while being very convenient. You can also get a headboard for your kid's bedroom that has shelving for them to display their books and other belongings.

Sometimes you will have more than one child in a room so you really do need to make more space. You can provide this in your kids bedrooms by providing them with bunk beds. Many children prefer this option to sharing one large bed and it takes up less room because the beds are stacked on top of each other.

The goal is for the kids bedroom to remain clean and organized, but for them to do as much of the work as possible. To ensure this is possible make sure you offer organization bins and baskets that they can reach. They way they can put away their toys when they are done playing with them. Bins can be stacked on top of each other or even attached to the wall so they don't take up space on the floor area.

You can make more space in your kids bedroom if you take a close look at the closet. In many instances you will find there is a great deal of open space that can be used. By adding shelves to the top of the closet you will double or triple the space up there. Depending on the age of the children you may need to get the items to go up in that area as well as replace them after the child is done. If that is the case don't put items up there that they are going to ask for on a regular basis.

Adding a second clothing rod about half way down the closet in your kids bedroom can be a way to offer them more closet space. Again, this is a great option if you have more than one child sharing the closet space. Don't forget to use the room available on the back of the closet door too such as for hanging a shoe bag.

There are plenty of amazing ways you can make more room in your kids bedroom. Many of the different options are affordable and very easy to do on your own. They are a great way to ensure your children have the room they need to enjoy their bedroom. In many instances you will find transforming your kids bedroom with these space savers will help them keep it much cleaner.
